It All Started When I Went to Lowes...

..to get something. Now, I can't even remember what it was. Maybe zinnia seeds, who knows. Anyway, I got distracted and decided it was time to buy mulch to spread in my perennial garden. Oh yeah, a few more plants would do ,too. So, ten bags of mulch and half a dozen plants later, I go home. Now, the fun part! I unload the ten bags of mulch and lug them to the back yard while talking to my friend Suzanne on the phone. As I look at the flower bed, I realize it really needed to be weeded before I started spreading the mulch. By the way, it's HOT, so I decided a couple of fruit popscicles would get me going. I start the weeding processs and fill up a little cart with the fruits of my labor. Now to spread the mulch. Ooops, now I need water. Remember, it's HOT!! After quite a while of opening bags, spreading mulch, opening bags and spreading mulch, I finally get it done. Now, I am not only hot, but DIRTY!!!!!!!! I proceed to start digging holes for my new flowers and about that time Mark gets home from work. I told him this was part of his Father's Day present, not because he loves flower gardens, but because I would not be "sweetly reminding him" to PLEASE help me weed the garden and spread the mulch. Now it was all done and if I say so myself, it looks pretty darn good and Mark loved it!! The best part is I came in to clean up and happened to weigh myself and I had dropped 2lbs. since that morning!! Yeah!

Your garden looks great. All the hard work and popsicles paid off! Can I come over and eat a popsicle with you on that bench?

Hi, I am so thankful you visited my blog. I just read your comment today and I was so excited. It is so thrilling for me to meet someone who has the same interests and passion that do for old things and turning a disgarded object into something beautiful. I will visit your blog often. I really wish, I could visit your shop! Have a beautiful day and I will check back soon!
